In July 1990, Timmermans was one of the first organizations in its market to receive the ISO 9001 certification. In 2010 the company was awarded with an ISO 14001 certification. This year Timmermans puts its pioneering trend further by being one of the first organizations in the market to audit according to the newest standards. In June 2016 Timmermans transport & logistics succeeded to renew and upgrade the certification to the newest standard of ISO 9001:2015 and 14001:2015. Timmermans passed the audits at first attempt without remarks for both certificates.
Evolution of the business and quality oriented thinking resulted in the new internationally recognized norm ISO 9001:2015.
This process-oriented approach and control of operations is among others dedicated to:
- Continuous improvement
- Customer satisfaction
- Risk management
Continuously improving our sustainability policy and goals we aim for constant reduction of our carbon footprint and emissions.
ISO 14001:2015 is one of the standards of the ISO 14000 series and is used worldwide to provide and certify environmental management systems.
ISO 14001 is focusing on two key principals:
- Compliance with laws and regulations, and managing environmental risks.
- Striving for continuous improvement in environmental performance.
The aim of using an environmental management system is to control and reduce the environmental impact (environmental risks) of the business, whilst also cutting costs (e.g. energy, water and materials and by avoiding fines).
The 2015 version emphasizes even further on anticipation and management of potential environmental risks within the business and the needs of stakeholders and interested parties.
